Duties & Responsibilities

  • Recognize, manage and rehabilitate injuries to professional, amateur and recreational athletes
  • Work alongside Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, Sports Performance Coaches and fellow Athletic Trainers to provide comprehensive rehabilitation and wellness services to patients while maintaining appropriate documentation.
  • Develop rehabilitation programs, perform data entry/record keeping, assist with cleaning/restocking respective facilities, and monitoring patient schedules.
  • Triage patients/athletes based on assessment findings, and determine the need for a referral to the appropriate medical or wellness professional both in clinic and at outreach partnerships/events.
  • Act as a liaison between physicians, athletic directors, coaches, athletes, parents and other medical personnel to appropriately manage, educate and return athletes back to play/activity including concussion in accordance with North Carolina State Law.
  • Maintain a medical file on each athlete and act as a liaison between the physician and the athlete and/or athlete’s parent
  • Conduct inventory of supplies and equipment, and create a bid for approval at partnership schools as needed prior to start of the fall season athletics.
  • Actively participate in bi monthly staff meetings

What Makes You a Great Fit
